Jackson v. Rosenberg: Unwrapped
This presentation explores how Ontario courts treat the transfer of property into joint tenancy as part of estate planning, emphasizing the distinction between gifting full ownership versus only a right of survivorship. It highlights the importance of documenting client intent and the legal ability to sever a joint tenancy, even after such a gift.

Real Estate Quick Tips
Presented as a fast-paced update, this session highlights key developments affecting everyday real estate practice, from interest rate caps and deposit protection rules to statutory declaration pitfalls. It reinforces the value of proactive compliance and clear communication with clients.

Adverse Possession
This presentation outlines the legal requirements for making or defending an adverse possession claim in Ontario. It emphasizes the need for strong, long-standing evidence and cautions that such claims become more difficult over time as land registration and witness availability change.
