If I Knew Then What I Know Now: Perceptions from Three Recently-Appointed Judges

Paula Puddy, HBA LLB MBA

This webinar is hosted by the Toronto Lawyers Association (TLA) and features Ranjan Agarwal, Justice Oneal Banerjee, Justice Jennifer Campitelli, and Justice Lise Favreau, a panel of three recently appointed Ontario judges, representing the Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Justice.

The panelists draw from their experience as both lawyers and judges to share their observations and reflections, offering valuable advice they wish they had known during their time as counsel.  Ranjan Agarwal, Justice Oneal Banerjee, Justice Jennifer Campitelli, and Justice Lise Favreau share effective courtroom advocacy skills, traits that can annoy judges, and practical tips to help you improve as an advocate. With this program, litigators can enhance their courtroom performance, and better understand the perspectives of judges, ultimately bolstering their success at trial.
