Dr. Susan Farrell

Dr. Susan Farrell is a Clinical Psychologist and the Clinical Director of the Community Mental Health Program at the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group. Her clinical work has focused on persons with mental illness and supporting them in community-based models of care. She is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Ontario and in Nunavut. She also does a lot of clinical work at the systems-level facilitating communication among a range of stakeholders, often with differing vantage points on issues. She is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and a Clinical Professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa. Dr Farrell is an active researcher in community-based research and evaluation of services for persons with mental illness. She was recently made a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association for her national contributions to Psychology and society. Dr Farrell has been a frequent faculty presenter for the National Judicial Institute across Canada and has also enjoyed speaking with CCLA members on brain health at an education day at The Royal.
