Ian M. Hull

Ian is a lecturer at the Ontario Bar Admission course and guest lecturer for the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada. He is also the author of four books on estate law issues – including the seminal Probate Practice, now in its fourth edition – and numerous articles.

Ian has an LL.B. from the University of Windsor and an Honours B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. He was called to the bar in 1990. He is a certified specialist in estate and trust law and civil litigation, a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He was chosen by LawDay as one of the top 60 estate and trust lawyers for 2009 and 2010.

Fareen Jamal

Fareen Jamal practices family and estate litigation at Jamal Family Law Professional Corporation in Oakville, Ontario. Fareen serves as a Deputy Judge in Milton, Brampton, and Burlington. She is an accredited mediator through OAFM and completed the National Family Law Arbitration 6 Course in February 2021. She is a panel member on the Office of the Children’s Lawyer personal rights panel. Fareen served as the Chair of the Ontario Bar Association's Family Law Section in 2017-2018; and was a board member of the Ismaili Conciliation and Arbitration Board from 2012 to 2019. Fareen completed her Masters in Law, specializing in Family Law, in 2012, and was the 2014 recipient for the OBA Young Lawyers Award. Fareen has been a member of the Family Law Rules Committee since December 2017, and a member of the Superior Court of Justice Family Working Group, appointed by the Family Judge for Ontario, Suzanne Stevenson. Fareen is a co-chair of the Six-Minute Family Law Lawyer since 2018.
