Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP

May is a senior partner at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin and the Chair of its Toronto Intellectual Property Group since 2003.  She was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1993 and to the BC Bar in 1997.  She is a Specialist Certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada in Intellectual Property Law (Trademark/Copyright), since 2005.  Her practice focuses primarily on trade-mark and copyright disputes, with a specialty in anti-counterfeiting.  She represents brand owners in Anton Piller matters and has sat on the Anti-counterfeiting Committee with the International Trademark Association, as well as on the Famous & Well-Known Marks Committee.  She has recently been recognized, for the third year in a row, as an “IP STAR” by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine (2014-16).  She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Intellectual Property Journal published by Federated Press, and also serves as the Chair for the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Annual IP Year in Review program.  May is recognized in the WTR1000: “Guide to the World’s Leading Trademark Professionals”, with a Silver Ranking in Trademark Litigation and Anti-Counterfeiting.  She is also regognized in Martindale Hubbell, Lexpert and Canada Legal 500.

Lorraine Fleck Lawyer, Trademark Agent

Lorraine is a lawyer and Canadian registered trademark agent. She is the principal of Fleck Innovation Law*, a Toronto, Canada law firm focusing on intellectual property (IP), advertising and marketing, privacy and regulatory matters and identified by Canadian Lawyer magazine as one of the top 10 IP boutiques in Canada in its 2018-2019 rankings. Lorraine is a recommended expert for Canada in the 2016 through 2018 editions of World Trademark Review’s WTR 1000, and was recommended by her peers for inclusion in the 2017 and 2018 editions of Best Lawyers® in Canada (Intellectual Property). Lorraine was also included in Intellectual Asset Magazine’s IAM Strategy 300 World’s Leading IP Strategists in 2017. Lorraine earned her Hons.
