Kaylee Henderson and Tamara Skorovski discuss Supreme Court interventions in family law appeals through Colucci v. Colucci, 2021 SCC 24 and Ahluwalia v. Ahluwalia (SCC file no. 41061), explaining how interveners can contribute useful and different submissions that add broader legal and social context. Their remarks emphasize the motion process, the need for a clear organizational interest, and the practical value of focused, non-duplicative advocacy.

Yvonne Bernstein of LawPro discusses retirement and contingency planning for lawyers, focusing on the practical steps needed to protect clients’ interests, manage professional obligations, and reduce risk during practice transition.
