Chronic Pain Conference 2015: Examining the Legal Challenges and Medical Advancements in Chronic Pain

In this presentation, registrants will:

  1. Discuss the manner in which the analysis of chronic pain in the legal practice and the courts has changed in recent years.
  2. Raise awareness of the challenges of obtaining and furthering treatment of chronic pain patients within litigation.
  3. Discuss the relationship between the judicial interpretation/assessment of chronic pain and the expert evidence obtained and relied upon in the litigation process. This will allow a better understanding of the type of expert evidence preferred by the courts, what evidence is given most weight at trial, and why.
