Aaron Franks

Aaron Franks was called to the Bar of Ontario in1998, and received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School (1996), and an M.B.A from the Schulich School of Business (1996). Since Aaron's call to the bar in 1998, he has practiced exclusively in the areas of family law (and related areas) and in the defence of solicitor's negligence claims. Aaron has acted as counsel at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He is regularly referred appellate work by his peers and consulted for strategic advice. Aaron also acts as a mediator and arbitrator. Aaron has been appointed as a Dispute Resolution Officer for the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. He is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School where he teaches family law, and he is an Associate Editor of the Reports of Family Law. He was also an instructor with the Family Law Section of the Bar Admission Course. Aaron is currently Co-Chair of the Six-Minute Family Lawyer, and he is frequently asked to author papers and to present at legal education programs in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada. His papers and articles have been published in a wide variety of books and other publications. He is married with three children. In 2015, Aaron was named family law "Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyer International.

Justice Mitch Hoffman

Justice Mitch Hoffman was called to the Bar in 1989 and specialized in criminal law. As assistant Crown attorney for Essex County, Justice Hoffman served as bilingual designate, child abuse designate as well as hate crimes designate. He was the acting Crown attorney for both Bruce County and Haldimand County and was the regional Crown liaison for the Provincial Joint Forces Biker Enforcement Unit. Justice Hoffman served as a member of the Essex Child Abuse Council and Sexual Offenders Task Force Sub-Committee and was co-chair of the Domestic Violence Advisory Committee. He has also been a participant in the Six Nations community justice initiative working to develop a community justice program. As an active member of the community, Justice Hoffman sat on the board of directors for the Windsor branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association and was a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Windsor, St. Clair College, area high schools and community forums. Justice Hoffman transferred to the Ontario Court in Ottawa in 2013.

Lynn Rockman

Lynn Rockman was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1990. She has a private practice in family law. Lynn is a guest speaker at various family law continuing legal education programs. She has been a lecturer and seminar instructor at the Bar Admission Course. Lynn holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and an LL.B. from the University of Toronto.

Justice Barry Tobin

The Honourable Justice Barry M. Tobin received his B.A. from Dalhousie University in 1974, his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 1977 and was called to the bar in Ontario in 1979. He was a partner at Brown Beattie Donovan practicing mainly in the area of Family Law including Mediation/Arbitration. Justice Tobin was appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice in September 2009 and sits in Windsor, Ontario. He is a co-author of McLeod's Ontario Family Law Rules Annotated. Justice Tobin has written and presented on various family law topics and was a member of the Family Justice Working Group of the Action Committee on Access to Justice and Civil and Family Matters.
