Ronalee Carey

Ronalee Carey received her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1996 and was called to the Bar in 1998. She articled and worked as an associate lawyer in family and civil litigation at Bell Baker LLP. She then dropped off the face of the earth for 10 years, during which time she and her husband adopted three children from the Ottawa Children’s Aid Society in addition to fostering 14 others. She resurfaced as an immigration lawyer, which she now practices as a sole practitioner. Her practice encompasses refugee work, family sponsorships and economic immigration applications. Ronalee actively participates in the Ottawa chapter of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers and is a member of the Refugee Lawyers Association of Ontario. She is the Vice-President of her community association and volunteers for the Gloucester-Cumberland Basketball Association.
