He received his LL.B. from McGill University in 1982 and his B.C.L., from McGill in 1984. For more than twenty five years, his practice has been focused on labour relations, employment law and human rights matters. James represents federal and provincial unions on a wide range of issues, including pay equity, pensions, classification, contract interpretation, discipline and Charter issues such as freedom of speech and freedom of association. James has been involved with Scouting for many years and in his spare time, seeks to become a better triathlete.
Mark Josselyn is a partner in Gowlings' Ottawa office and the Ottawa group leader of the Firm's Employment and Labour Law National Practice Group. His practice focuses in the areas of employment law, insurance defence and commercial litigation. Mark is an advocate before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal and before various tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. He has significant training and experience in mediation and other conflict resolution procedures.
