Lamb, J.D., Counsel at Cohen Highley LLP and Adjunct Professor of Real Estate Law at Western University, examines seven Ontario decisions involving easements, failed closings and deposits.
The cases address whether a seller can convey good title after a change in ownership, when a demand for a price reduction may amount to repudiation, and what evidence supports a seller’s efforts to resell after a breach. The presentation also considers key delivery at closing and the consequences of failing to provide a condominium purchaser with the required guide.
Michael Lamb was called to the bar in 1986. His practice also includes litigation, having appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, and teaching as an adjunct professor of real estate law at Western University. He is Chair of the Elder Abuse London Middlesex Network.
