Effective Divorce Settlement Negotiations

Divorce settlement negotiations are often multi-faceted, complex and infused with emotion. With high personal stakes for clients, and with psychological nuances in play, it is not uncommon for counsel to obtain objectives in one area while undermining bargaining positions in another. Further, negotiations can often break down due to perceptions better alternatives exist to a negotiated outcome. This program has been put together to assist lawyers in maximizing benefits for clients in family law and divorce settings. Our faculty of versed family law practitioners will identify and examine the skills required to be effective in conflict resolution in this charged and critically important area of law.
