In 2005 he moved to the Lawyers Insurance Fund to practice professional negligence defence for a much more deserving profession. In his role as Claims Counsel with the Lawyers Insurance Fund he both adjusted and defended negligence actions against lawyers.
In 2010 Jonathan returned to private practice, and since that time has been fortunate enough to practice with QA Law in Vancouver – better known as Quinlan Abrioux. He practices exclusively in the areas of professional negligence and personal injury defence. His professional negligence practice consists of defending actions brought against lawyers and conducting “repair” applications. A repair is a court application aimed at correcting an error allegedly made by counsel in the hopes of heading off a negligence claim. In both his professional defence and repair practices Jonathan acts primarily for the plaintiff’s personal injury bar.
