It highlights the need for precise drafting around definitions, support, property, death-related rights, and dispute resolution, with reference to the Family Law Act, the Succession Law Reform Act, and related case law. The practical takeaway is that clearer, more tailored agreements, coordinated with estate and corporate planning, can better reflect client intentions and help prevent future litigation.
