This panel features an experienced prison law lawyer who will present on the federal and provincial parole systems. Mr. Borys will discuss what defence counsel can and should do at the sentencing hearing – and shortly thereafter – to put their clients in the best position once their parole eligibility comes up. We are still trying to confirm Ms. Haydon, who is an experienced federal parole officer, and are hoping that she will be able to provide some perspective on what she sees work best to help our clients at these hearings.
