Justice Tracy Engelking

Tracy Engelking was appointed a judge of the Superior Court of Justice and a member of the Family Court in Ottawa in March 2016. Prior to being appointed, Justice Engelking was a senior counsel with the Children’s Aid Society in Ottawa. She was also a partner with McKecknie Atnikov Scholbert & Engelking until 1998 and a partner with O’Connor Lavigne & Pegg until 1995. Justice Engelking received her LLB from Osgoode Hall, York University in 1994, and as called to the Bar in 1992.

Cedric Nahum

Cedric is a trial lawyer who was called to the bar in 2005. Before opening his own firm, Cedric was an associate with Kimberley A. Pegg, Barristers Professional Corporation from 2007 to 2016. Cedric has had experience in the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and the Divisional Court in criminal defence and representing parents against the Children’s Aid Society. He deals with many matters in the Mental Health Court and Youth Court.

Sonya Notturno

Graduated from McGill University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science, Major in Biochemistry.

She received her LL.L. in 2000 and LL.B. in 2001 after completing the National Program.

Sonya joined Chénier & Associates in February 2006, became a partner in January 2009 at which time the firm became Chénier & Notturno. She practises in the areas of Criminal Law (Quebec and Ontario), Family Law, Children’s Aid Society Law and is Counsel for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer. In this capacity, and, as a member of both the Ontario and Quebec Bars, she represents both Ontario and Quebec clients before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario

Superior Court of Justice, the municipal courts and the Court of Quebec. Previously, Sonya worked and articled with national law firms where she developed her practice as a litigator. Fluently bilingual, she is able to argue cases in both English and French and also provides legal services in Italian.
